Data Protection - Privacy Policy

Your personal data (i.e. any information which identifies you, or which can be identified as relating to you personally) can be collected and used by me Emma Louise Follows trading as Eat Live. Given I’m a one man band that makes me the controller. Data controller that is, not the controlla as in the Drake song.
Personal data you provide. I collect data you provide to me. This includes information you give when signing up for my mailing list, placing an order or communicating with me. For example:

personal details (name, date of birth, email, address, telephone etc.)

financial information (payment information such as credit/debit card or direct debit details.

If you were to purchase my stuff as a gift for someone your details could be recorded (as will the recipients) and you relationship to that person could be recorded.

I often do collect information from social media where you have given me permission to do so, or if you post on one of my social media pages.

Sensitive personal data
Because of the nature of my products people often tell me about their health! Sometimes I specifically ask, how else am I going to confirm your dosha?! (an ayurvedic thing) If this does occur, I’ll take extra care to ensure your privacy rights are protected.


I only ever use your personal data with your consent, or where it is necessary in order to:
enter into, or perform, a contract with you;
comply with a legal duty; 
protect your vital interests; 
for our own (or a third party’s) lawful interests, provided your rights don’t override these. 
In any event, I’ll only use your information for the purpose or purposes it was collected for (or else for closely related purposes):


I use personal data to communicate with people. This includes sending you offers, update and my seasonal newsletter if you have asked me to put you on my list (I don’t use any prechecked boxes or give you free stuff to get your email address - no ebooks here.

I use personal data for administrative purposes such as 

maintaining databases of my customers

fulfilling orders for goods or services (whether placed online, over the phone or in person);

When I process your personal data for our legitimate interests, I will make sure that I consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative), and your rights under data protection laws, particularly I'm referring to the General Data Protection legislation. My legitimate business interests do not automatically override your interests – I will not use your personal data for activities where my interests are overridden by the impact on you (unless I have your consent or are otherwise required or permitted to by law).

I will never ever sell your personal data. If you have opted-in to marketing, I may contact you with information about my partners, or third party products and services, but these communications will always come from me. 

I may share personal data with contractors, subcontractors or suppliers who provide my with services. However, these activities will be carried out under a contract which imposes strict requirements on our supplier to keep your information confidential and secure.

Occasionally, where I partner with other organisations, I may also share information with them but only when necessary and ill make sure to notify you first.
